Florence Pugh has revealed there's a movie in her filmography that she regrets making.
The Oscar-nominated actress has starred in a wide variety of projects, from the Marvel blockbuster Black Widow to the indie horror Midsommar, sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two and period drama Little Women.
Pugh has now admitted there's a lesser-known film that she regrets starring in - the 2018 supernatural horror Malevolent, which was released in the year before her 2019 international breakthrough.
During a discussion about horror on The Louis Theroux Podcast, the host noted that he'd seen Malevolent and it was "not bad", although he thought Pugh's performance was "really good".
The British star then candidly confessed, "I didn't watch it. It's probably the one movie that I wish I never did. I think everybody has one of those movies."
When asked to elaborate, she continued, "I think it was just a movie that I did when I was younger and I needed money. And I was like, 'Well, obviously this is great.' And then I got there and it wasn't great."
Theroux began to explain the plot of the film to inform listeners who hadn't seen it, and she interjected, saying, "We can talk about other movies." The conversation then moved on, and Pugh didn't explain why the experience "wasn't great".
Set in 1980s Scotland, Malevolent stars Pugh and Ben Lloyd-Hughes as American siblings and scammers who fake paranormal encounters to make money. However, they get more than they bargained for when they take on a case at a country house.
Malevolent is available to stream on Netflix.
