Canongate and Brooks Elementary School have two new award-winning teachers.

Carrie McGowan, a fourth grade teacher at Canongate, and Natalie Hill, a fifth grade teacher at Brooks, recently received the Excellence in Education Award, presented by Alpha Delta Kappa Chi Chapter.

ADK is an international sorority of female educators with more than 1200 local chapters worldwide. The organization is dedicated to strengthening the education profession, nurturing relationships and networking opportunities, enriching personal and professional development, embracing cultural differences and making an impact through world understanding, according to ADK’s official website.
