Pune, November 12, 2025:

A 13-year-old boy, identified as Badal Shabbir Shaikh, a resident of Sachhaimata Mandir area in Katraj, reportedly drowned in Jambhulwadi Lake. The rescue operation was swiftly carried out by a team of fire brigade personnel from the Katraj Fire Station.

According to officials, the rescue team entered the lake and conducted a thorough search using ropes and a drag hook. After an intensive effort, the boy was pulled out of the water and immediately handed over to the police personnel from the Ambegaon Police Chowki. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital in an ambulance for medical treatment.
