Trump administration lawyers have warned that SNAP funding could be delayed in Democratic-led states that are seeking full benefits, as a legal battle continues over how much recipients should receive.

Newsweek has contacted the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) via email to inquire how long it will take to issue the payments if the shutdown ends.
