One person was shot Tuesday night on U.S. 285 in Jefferson County in what investigators believe stemmed from a road rage incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
The shooting happened at about 7 p.m. Tuesday on southbound U.S. 285 near Sourdough Drive, about 9 miles southwest of Morrison, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office .
That section of highway was closed for hours Tuesday night amid the investigation, but reopened shortly before midnight, sheriff’s officials said.
Sheriff’s officials did not say whether a suspect was arrested or any other injuries were reported.
Additional information on the shooting and the road rage incident leading up to it was not immediately available Wednesday.
