Brooklynn Haywood had a dream as a young girl growing up in Alaska.
That dream is about become a reality, after years of hard work.
“It was definitely a lot of working out, a lot of long days, a lot of tears and sweat,” Haywood said. “But honestly, it’s all paid off because I’ve had this dream of playing (Division I basketball) since I’ve been, like, six years old.”
On Wednesday — the first day of the college signing period — the Union High School senior will sign to play college basketball for the University of Oregon.
