YOUNGSTOWN The owner of Youngstown’s Westside Bowl says the popular "Pay-It-Forward" pizza program has been streamlined and will continue indefinitely following an overwhelming response from the community. The initiative provides free 12-inch pizzas to individuals facing food insecurity, thanks to ongoing donations.
In a Facebook post, Nate Offerdahl described the situation as "overwhelmed" following the program's Nov. 2 relaunch, announced adjusted hours to ensure the program's sustainability.
“We’ve found a pace that works for us, works for our customers. And the best part about that is that we will be able to continue this program indefinitely, which is awesome,” Offerdahl stated.
