WASHINGTON — Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have released new emails from Jeffrey Epstein that mention Donald Trump. The lawmakers say the emails suggest Epstein believed Trump knew about his abuse at the time of the disgraced financier's death.
President Trump has repeatedly and vehemently denied any knowledge of Epstein's sex-trafficking crimes.
Epstein died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges involving dozens of underage girls.
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said the emails, which they selected from thousands of pages of documents received by their panel from Epstein's estate, raised new questions about the relationship between the two men.
