Kamil Conteh scored his first goal for Bristol Rovers , with a 94th minute winner against Plymouth Argyle in the Vertu Trophy on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old made his first start for the club since the 4-0 away defeat at Crawley Town and put in an assured display in the middle of the park.
Conteh picked up an injury on Boxing Day last season and missed the second half of the campaign after being diagnosed with a rare bone infection called osteomyelitis . So far, the 22-year-old has stayed fit during the 2025/26 campaign, making 20 appearances in all competitions.
