The 2025 Bihar elections are being seen as a make-or-break moment for Nitish Kumar as well as his JD(U). This time, while Nitish is the chief ministerial face, he is no longer the "big brother" as the BJP negotiated equal seat sharing. However, according to Axis My India exit polls , Nitish's JD(U) is expected to outperform the BJP and win 56-62 seats of the 101 it contested. The BJP, which also contested the same number of seats, will bag 50-56 seats.
