Haryana bags ‘Third Best State’ for water management

Chandigarh, November 12, 2025: In a major recognition of its sustainable water management efforts, Haryana has been adjudged the ‘Third Best State’ in the 6th National Water Awards 2024, announced by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.

Sharing the achievement, Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Shruti Choudhry said the honour reflects the state’s remarkable strides in promoting integrated, data-driven, and community-based water conservation practices.
