It's almost ski season, and people will be looking for their first winter recreation trip of the year.

Luckily for Northern Nevadans, the nearby Tahoe resorts are among the destinations that give skiers the most bang for their buck. This is according to a HomeToGo report that gained the attention of Travel and Leisure , which ranked the top 70 ski resorts in the United States by "visitor value."

HomeToGo created the ranking by analyzing exclusive HomeToGo accommodation pricing, daily lift pass rates and total skiable acreage at each destination.
