A popular southside restaurant was broken into overnight, in what the owners have deemed a "disheartening and cowardly" act.
Family-run business Desi Dhaba Chaiwala in Pollokshields was broken into during the night at around 1am on November 11, which resulted in "petty theft".
The award-winning restaurant yesterday wrote on Instagram: "As many of you may have heard, our small family -run business was the target of a robbery during the early hours of this morning.
"While it was, unfortunately, a successful break-in, we're relieved to share that it amounted to little more than petty theft.
"No one was harmed as it was at 1am when we were closed, and nothing was damaged or vandalised .
