Tribal Affairs Minister reviews progress of key tribal development initiatives

Tribal Affairs Minister Javed Ahmed Rana on Wednesday reviewed the progress of major initiatives of the Tribal Affairs Department, assessing the physical and financial achievements under the UT Capex Budget and ongoing projects under CSS, SCA to TSS/PMAAGY, and DA–JGUA aimed at holistic development of tribal villages.

The Minister also took stock of the implementation status of PM Van Dhan Yojana (PMVDY), measures to strengthen the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) J&K for research and capacity building, besides reviewing the ongoing construction of hostels to augment educational support for tribal students.
