Not so long ago, it suddenly occurred to me that I had stopped watching the evening news on television. It’s always important to be informed about world events, so currently I seem to gather my news through other sources of information such as newspapers, radio, etc. While there are occasional positive stories on television, much of the current news (especially government) is depressing.
Earlier in the year I was told I had stage 1 lung cancer and would have to have a lung removed at Stanford. The good news is, my upper left lobe was successfully removed. A few weeks ago I was fortunate to be told by my doctor that I no longer had cancer. How is that for some positive news?
