An engaged Air Force veteran died after getting stuck in a mail handling machine at a United States Postal Service facility in Michigan, officials said.
Nicholas Acker, 36, was believed to have been dead for six to eight hours when a maintenance worker found him in the machine Saturday morning at the USPS Detroit Network Distribution Center in Allen Park, ClickOnDetroit reported .
Acker had spent nine years in the US Air Force and had been working at the Allen Park facility for about a year as a mechanic, according to his heartbroken fiancé, Stephanie Jaszcz.
