ATLANTA — A widespread visibility for the Northern Lights on Tuesday evening stretched into north Georgia and metro Atlanta, and even was visible from Buckhead.

A viewer, Anil, sent 11Alive photos on Wednesday morning from a Buckhead rooftop. 11Alive Chief Meteorologist Chris Holcomb had chronicled many of the sightings in the metro area the night before, including north Georgia cities like Cleveland, Dawsonville and Dahlonega on down to north Fulton.

It was even visible through the light pollution of north Atlanta, Anil's photos showed. Credit: Viewer Photo Credit: Viewer Photo Credit: Viewer Photo
