There are delays on the A21 near Tonbridge after a two lorry accident and the spillage of milk bottles on the highway. The crash was southbound on the dual carriageway.

One lorry had broken down and another vehicle collided with it, said Kent Police . The incident, which happened before noon today (November 12) was between the A225 turn-off and the A26 London Road.

National Highways said there are 40-minute delays. Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: "Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident, two lorries involved and spillage of milk bottles on A21 Tonbridge Bypass Southbound from A225 (Hildenborough/Sevenoaks turn-off) to A26 London Road.

"Ongoing since around 11.50am. Lane one (of two) remains closed for recovery and clean up."
