Hyderabad: AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi has been appointed as a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) constituted to examine three crucial Bills that propose the removal of ministers, chief ministers, or the prime minister if they remain under arrest for 30 consecutive days in cases punishable with five or more years of imprisonment.

The JPC will scrutinize the legal and constitutional aspects of the proposed legislation, which aims to enhance accountability among elected representatives facing serious criminal charges.
