OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KY3) - Osage Beach is known as a tourist destination. Still, with its key activities peaking in the summer, city leaders are looking for a way to keep tourists and residents entertained year-round.

The city accepted a bid from Victus Advisors to run a multi-sport feasibility study for $58,000, broken down into two phases: the first for $30,000 and the second for $28,000.

“So we don’t put all of our efforts against something,” said Eric Hundelt, Osage Beach’s Director of Marketing and Economic Development, “build a building and a lot of brick and mortar, and then all of a sudden we find out it’s not a good idea, so we’re gonna do our homework up front first.”

During phase one, they’ll conduct interviews with stakeholders and collect data on the viability of a facility.
