MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon City Commission approved $390,295 in improvements to two city parks during its Monday, Nov. 10, meeting.
The commission awarded a contract to JWK Construction for building renovations at Sheldon Park and Hartshorn Marina.
Improvements will include Sheldon Park bathroom upgrades and ADA changes, making it more accessible.
Sheldon Charter Park is located at 1059 East Isabella Avenue between Madison and Oak Grove Streets in East Muskegon.
The Hartshorn Marina harbormaster building will be renovated to improve work operations and properly seal the building for security reasons, said parks and recreation director Kyle Karczewski.
The Hartshorn boat ramp and park restroom will be renovated with all new fixtures and a new roof.
