Emporia State University's Peterson Planetarium is focusing on holiday-themed programming for most of the remaining year, with its new program “Star of Bethlehem: A Holiday Sky Experience,” debuting November 22 at 10:00 a.m. The planetarium is located at the south end of Science Hall, Room 031, on the west side of ESU campus.

“Star of Bethlehem: A Holiday Sky Experience, will dive into the traditional Christian Christmas story, utilizing science and history to determine what astrological event could have guided the magi to Jesus’ birth.

“The program balances scientific and traditional perspectives to offer a rich holiday experience for families, space enthusiasts and anyone curious about the sky and astronomical events more than two millennia ago,” a written release stated.
