A Cambridgeshire railway bridge has been hit once more. A railway bridge along Station Road in Ely was struck at around 1.15pm on Wednesday (November 12).
Network Rail were called to the incident. A spokesperson said: “We received a report of a vehicle striking a rail bridge at Ely around approximately 1.15pm.
"Trains were cautioned through Ely station leading to delays and cancellations for some services. After an inspection, no damage to the bridge was found and train services resumed normal running around 2.50pm."
In October, the bridge was struck four times. The bridge was first struck on October 9 . Then the bridge was struck three times in one week.
These took place on Monday, October 20 , Wednesday, October 22 , and Friday, October 24 . Last year, the bridge was
