The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the long-awaited Export Promotion Mission (EPM), a Rs 25,060 crore support package spanning six years.
Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, briefing the media on the Cabinet’s decisions, said the mission was announced in the Union Budget 2025–26 with the aim of insulating Indian exporters from global trade uncertainties and addressing persistent bottlenecks in the export ecosystem.

The mission will operate through two integrated sub-schemes:
Niryat Protsahan: Focuses on enhancing export credit availability, offering interest equalisation support, and introducing innovative financing instruments such as export credit cards for e-commerce exporters.
