All eyes were on the sky on the night of Nov. 11 as a geomagnetic storm once again made the northern lights visible in New Jersey.

Severe geomagnetic storm levels were reached at around 8:20 p.m. Nov. 11, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA said , adding that conditions were anticipated to continue into the night.

Earlier in the day, NOAA issued a G4 (severe) geomagnetic storm watch , alerting Americans that the aurora borealis "may become visible over much of the northern half of the country, and maybe as far south as Alabama to northern California."

Throughout the night, people all over New Jersey, and around the United States, were able to catch a glimpse of the northern lights.
