SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — The Sandy Springs Police Department on Wednesday released bodycam video of an incident in October in which one of their officers was shot in the finger during a police response at a home.

The video contains three clips from three different body-worn cameras by officers who were in the home when the shooting unfolded on October 14, including the officer who was hit.

It shows there were several officers inside the home positioning around a room where they said there was an individual on a bed.

As they began moving around that doorway, a single shot can be heard and the officer reacts to being hit.

After that several more shots are fired in succession, then a steady continuation of single shots for a few more seconds. There are perhaps two or three dozen shots fired
