East Nashville’s Margot Café & Bar — considered an icon by many local foodies — will close on June 5, 2026, after what will have been 25 years of operations.
Post sister publication Nashville Scene initially reported the news (read here ).
Chef-owner Margot McCormack told the Scene she will list the Five Points property, with an address of 1017 Woodland St. , accommodating her restaurant for sale.
As the Post reported at the time and via Rustic Restaurants LLC, McCormack in April 2015 paid $730,000 for the property, from which she has operated her restaurant and bar since June 2001 (read here ).
March Egerton, who owns various East Nashville properties, was the seller.
