NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A Ladson man is facing more than half a dozen charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child over the course of five months.
Terry Linn Ashford, 29, is charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and seven counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to sheriff spokesperson Lexi Douglas.
Charleston County deputies received a call on Oct. 22 in reference to a past sexual assault. The affidavit stated that the mother told deputies that Ashford had allegedly assaulted her child for the past five months.
Deputies then issued a search warrant on his phone, in which they found several images of child sexual abuse material.
He was booked into the Charleston County Jail.
