Drake Maye knows what it's like to be in a "flow state." But the term is more applicable to the basketball court than the football field, the Patriots quarterback believes.
"Playing quarterback, you get the feeling some," Maye said recently. "You kind of feel like you’re spinning it well. You kind of feel that more in basketball. Being in a flow state, the heat check. But football, I think the breaks where you're sitting down, sitting on the sideline, kind of break it up."

Maye can speak to the analogy, not only because the NFL MVP frontrunner is spinning it as well as anyone in the league, but also because he found himself in such situations on the hardwood.
