Children from Uganda have been bridged with those in the Joplin area through a cross-cultural art program that has led to a unified exhibit now on display at Spiva Center for the Arts.
The exhibit, "Prone to Wander," features 100 brightly colored, similarly designed canvases that were painted by 50 children from Kampala, Uganda, and 50 youngsters from the Joplin area. Each 5-inch square canvas has been combined to create a large-scale artwork that becomes an exhibit itself. ×
