ATLANTA — Georgia lawmakers held a meeting on Wednesday discussing social media and artificial intelligence impacts on children in school.
In the first meeting since the government shutdown started, the Georgia Senate Impact of Social Media and Artificial Intelligence on Children and Platform Privacy Protection Study Committee met for the fourth time to examine the impacts of social media and AI on students' mental health, privacy, and learning, as well as how Georgia schools can create safer online environments.
Parents, tech leaders, and policy experts even spoke on how phone-free school policies are benefiting students.
