In 1998, two sci-fi disaster movies came out less than two months apart that both saw the world in peril thanks to a celestial object on a collision course with Earth. One is remembered today for being a fun, over-the-top disaster epic that has more holes than a slice of swiss cheese, while the other is looked at as an emotional, character-driven story with a more realistic take on a global catastrophe. We're, of course, talking about Armageddon, and Deep Impact. While the former isn't currently available to stream anywhere, the latter is now on Netflix for your viewing pleasure.
