To the editor,

If everybody is right and no one is wrong, you might have just found yourself in the halls of Congress.

Elections have boiled down to a collection of charismatic caricatures capturing our attention with soliloquies of sound bites that sooth the savage beast within us. You can lean to the left, you can lean to the right, or you can try to walk the tightrope that connects them. Any way you lean or teeter, you’re painted into a corner and after an election you’re covered in carnage if your team loses. Sometimes even if they win.

With the current crop of creative caricatures claiming they are right and everyone else is wrong, we, the people, are the ones paying the price for their over-inflated egos.

With the shutdown of the government, we saw nonessential government workers
