A man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus in Glasgow this afternoon.

The incident happened at around 1.40pm today, November 12, with emergency services called to the collision, involving a bus and pedestrian on Cathedral Street shortly after.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment and his current condition is unknown.

Images taken from the scene shows a Stagecoach single decker bus stationary within a police cordon. The windscreen of the vehicle is completely shattered, with an eye-witness saying "a large dent" can be seen on the glass.
