A familiar foe to the Detroit Lions will not be in the Philadelphia Eagles’ lineup at Lincoln Financial Field when both teams square off for their Week 11 matchup.

Per the NFL Network, veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander is stepping away from football to focus on “getting right physically and mentally.” As a result, the Eagles placed him on the reserve/retired list and activated cornerback Jakorian Bennett from injured reserve.

Alexander, who did not travel with the Eagles to Green Bay for Monday Night Football against the Packers, informed the franchise of his decision to step away on Sunday.
