The White House is slated to hold a press briefing on Nov. 12 as President Donald Trump's administration navigates the near-end of the government shutdown and new allegations about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is scheduled to speak with reporters live from the White House briefing room starting at 1 p.m. ET.
It comes hours before the House of Representatives is expected to vote on a funding measure that would end the longest government shutdown in history. Once passed, the bill will head to the president's desk to be signed into law.
The scheduled briefing will also occur on the heels of the release of new emails written by Epstein, the disgraced financier and accused sex trafficker, which allege Trump "spent hours" with one of Epstein's victims.
While Trump was acquainted with Epstein in the 1990s, he has long denied knowing about the deceased man's alleged sex trafficking. Epstein died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial.
Leavitt said the emails, which were released by Democrats, are part of “a fake narrative to smear President Trump."
