It's been a while since Marvel Studios has announced any new Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, but a recent interview with composer and director Michael Giacchino has convinced some that a new sequel has been confirmed. Giacchino most recently collaborated with Marvel Studios by composing the score for 2025's The Fantastic Four: First Steps , but he previously directed the 2022 TV special Werewolf By Night .

The 53-minute project was released on Disney+ in October 2022, introducing Gael García Bernal as Jack Russell, aka Werewolf By Night, alongside fellow Marvel characters like Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly) and Man-Thing (Carey Jones).
