Sylhet (Bangladesh), Nov 12 (UNI) Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct on Day 1 of the first Test against Ireland in Sylhet.
Nahid was found guilty of breaching Article 2.9 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “throwing a ball (or any other item of cricket equipment) at or near a player in an inappropriate and/or dangerous manner during an International Match.”
In addition to the fine, one demerit point has been added to Nahid’s disciplinary record. It is Nahid’s first offence in 24 months.
