MACON, Ga. — A crash has closed the right lane of I-16 west in Macon-Bibb, but the road has since reopened, according to Georgia's Department of Transportation's 511 website.
They say it happened at around 12:24 p.m..
The crash closed the right lane. A 13WMAZ crew says that there is a fire truck on the scene, blocking the lane.
According to the website, traffic is backed up on I-16 west past Coliseum Drive.
While 511 originally said they expect the closure to end around 1 p.m., the website has since updated that anticipated end time, pushing it back.
It appears to have reopened at around 1:30 p.m.
While the crash has left one lane closed, drivers were still able to get by, and the Second Street exit appears to still be open.
However, drivers should avoid the area if possible.
