Joyce Edwards scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds for No. 2 South Carolina, which finally pulled away in the fourth quarter of a 65-37 nonconference win over Clemson on Tuesday in Columbia, S.C.

The Gamecocks (3-0) led by just 10 points entering the fourth quarter. South Carolina's Agot Makeer opened the final period with a 3-pointer that sparked a 10-0 run. Madina Okot's layup capped the spree and gave the Gamecocks a 55-35 lead with 5:54 to go, and the Gamecocks wound up outscoring the Tigers 20-2 in the fourth.

South Carolina's Tessa Johnson finished with 13 points, while Okot produced 12 points and 12 rebounds. Ta'Niya Latson also logged 12 points.
