CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A College Hill church is having operations suspended after church leaders failed to report an alleged sexual assault for months, according to a bishop.
The temporary stoppage of operations at Grace Episcopal Church in College Hill was announced in a Nov. 7 letter from Rev. Kristin Uffelman White.
In the letter, Rev. White explains that the decision comes after an alleged sexual assault involving two minors inside the church building.
The assault happened in April 2025, but Rev. White said it was not until September that she and her staff were notified.
“After an investigation by the diocesan office, I was troubled to learn that the leadership was aware of the alleged incident and had not reported it to the diocesan office for many months,” Rev. White wrote in the
