The World Wrestling Entertainment and the Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment groups announced a long-term partnership Wednesday.
The partnership will include merchandise collaborations, community-focused programs and cross-brand appearances from Toronto and WWE stars, according to a statement posted to social media by MLSE , the owner of a number of teams based in the city such as the Maple Leafs , Raptors, Argonauts and TFC.
“MLSE and WWE have a long and strong history together,” said Phil King, the MLSE’s chief business officer. “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with WWE, a global leader in sports and entertainment, to create world-class content and build on Toronto’s standing as a leading market globally.”
