A 23-year-old Sicklerville man was arrested and charged following a crash that killed a 76-year-old man and injured his wife, authorities announced Wednesday, Nov. 12.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, at 10:13 p.m., officers responded to a crash at Berlin Cross Keys Road and Johnson Road in Sicklerville after a sedan traveling on Berlin Cross Keys Road toward the Black Horse Pike collided with an SUV at the intersection, Gloucester Township police said.
The occupants of both vehicles were trapped, requiring extrication, police said. Louis Bontya, the driver of the SUV, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, while his wife, Christina, was seriously injured, police said.
