Russellville-based Denali Water Solutions said Wednesday that it has acquired Charleston-based SMART Recycling, which will expand its sustainable food waste recycling service across the Carolinas.
Mason McNeill, executive vice president at Denali, said SMART has built a trusted partnership with schools and universities, grocers and restaurants, supporting businesses committed to sustainable practices.
"By welcoming SMART Recycling into the Denali network, we're expanding access to simple, scalable recycling solutions to help more communities across the Carolinas turn food waste into valuable resources," he said.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
