One of the teenagers accused of murdering Jordan Hogg can be named for the first time.

Leon Palfreeman's identity was protected until he turned 18 in August. Palfreeman, of no fixed address but who is from Redcar, is the second youngest of six people who are on trial at Newcastle Crown Court.

Jordan Hogg died after his neck was slashed on the night of February 28. CCTV captured Mr Hogg's last movements as he called on a neighbour at Fonteyn Court, in Hemlington, for help. Mr Hogg, who was a rigger, collapsed and died outside his flat.

The six people who deny murdering Mr Hogg are:

Michael Charville, 43, of no fixed address has also pleaded not guilty to the possession of an offensive weapon - a stanley knife, on Oak Hill in Coulby Newham on February 28.
