LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) - Long Beach High School was briefly evacuated Wednesday morning after smoke began circulating through the vents.
According to the Long Beach School District, there was no fire, but something left on a burner in the culinary instruction room began to smoke.
That smoke traveled through the vents and into other rooms.
Students were evacuated for a few minutes while the smoke cleared, but are back in class at this time.
According to the school district, the LBHS principal is going to send a message to parents about what happened.
