A survey of 2,000 adults has revealed that eight out of 10 Brits are nostalgic for the 'simpler times' of their youth – when there were only four TV channels, face-to-face chats were commonplace, and music was enjoyed on CDs, tapes or vinyl. ‌

The poll found that 35% miss paying with cash, while 24% long for the days of picking up the phone to actually speak to someone. Interestingly, 20% of respondents expressed a longing for interactions with shop assistants, 25% reminisced about doorstep milk deliveries, and 28% missed the experience of renting a VHS tape. ‌
