LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Authorities in Douglas County, Kansas, are seeking additional witnesses and information surrounding the death of 20-year-old Elsa McGrain.
McGrain was found dead on the side of the road during the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 7, after going for a run the evening prior.
On Sunday, 36-year-old William Ray Klingler was arrested and charged with reckless involuntary homicide, three days after he allegedly hit and killed McGrain before leaving the scene.
Wednesday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office posted to social media, asking more potential witnesses to come forward with information regarding the case. The Sheriff’s Office asked anyone who drove in the 1700 block of E. 1500 Road on Thursday, Nov. 6 between 6 and 6:30 p.m. to contact Investigations Lt. Rita
