Peloton has issued a voluntary recall for over 800,000 of its Original Series Bike+ models due to a defect in the seat post assembly that poses a risk of falls and injuries. The recall, announced on November 6, affects bikes sold in the United States and Canada between December 2019 and July 2022. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that the seat post can break during use, with Peloton receiving three reports of such incidents, including two resulting in injuries.
The affected bikes are identified by the model number PL02 and serial numbers starting with "T." These bikes measure four feet long and two feet wide, featuring adjustable seats and handlebars.
