Bristol Rovers topped Group B in the Southern section of the Vertu Trophy, beating Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at the Memorial Stadium, thanks to a 94th minute winner from Kamil Conteh.

It was a game of few chances after Plymouth’s Kornel Szucs was sent off in the second minute for bringing down Rovers’ makeshift striker, Bryant Bilongo .

The Gas will now have a home tie in the Round of 32 , and will face one of AFC Wimbledon, Wycombe Wanderers, Cambridge United or Peterborough United in early December.
